My name is Winnie Sifert and I am running for re-election in the City of Langford.
Here is a little bit of information about me.
- 30 year resident of Langford
- Widowed suddenly in 2000 after being happily married for 37 years.
- Have 2 children, one boy an one girl
- One big happy family all living together harmoniously in same home since 1978. Three wonderful grandchildren twin girls 7 years of age and one boy age 9
- Langford Councillor since incorporation in 1992
- Chair, Transportation & Public Works Committee
- Vice Chair, Planning & Zoning Committee
- Member, Parks & Recreation Committee
- Member, West Shore Parks & Recreation Committee
- Langford Representative West Shore Chamber of Commerce
- Prior to incorporation in 1992 was a member of the Advisory Planning Commission; the Board of Directors for the Goldstream Museum and a member on 5 different Incorporation Committees
Future Plans for our community:
I would like to thank all of our citizens in Langford for the support you have given me over the past 16 years. I hope that I can count on your support again on Saturday, November 15th. I invite you to look around Langford and see what we have to offer and see the wonderful changes we have accomplished since 1992. We have come a long way since incorporation and our citizens have benefited. However, we still have more to achieve and I would really like to remain as a member of our great council. I have enjoyed working with all members of our council and hope we can continue making Langford a better place to live, work and play.
As you take a look around the community, you will see that there is definitely SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
