Brown, Don
Don Brown lives and works in the Westshore. He has two children and four grandchildren. He is a retired R.C.M.P. officer, serving for 32 years, including three years at the Westshore Detachment and five years as the Detachment Commander in Sooke. He currently works as a Senior Manager for the Capital Regional District, in the Planning and Protective Services Department.
Don has lived most of his life on Vancouver Island. He has always been very active in sports as an athlete, coach, and official. He has many years experience as a long distance runner, curler and lacrosse player and is currently active in both curling and lacrosse.
Don has always been involved in his community. He has served on Parks and Recreation Commissions, and spent two terms as a School Trustee in Nanaimo and one term in the Sooke School District. He has been involved in the Kinsmen and Rotary clubs for many years. He was one of the founding members, and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Westshore.
Don has always has a keen interest in education. He is a graduate of the University of Victoria and Dalhousie University. He has taught Criminology courses at both Vancouver Island University and Kwantlen University.
Don would like to serve another term as a Trustee on the Sooke School Board. He has the knowledge and experience to serve the electors in an excellent manner. Please vote for Don Brown on November 15, 2008.
