About Us

Header WSCC CS

The WestShore Chamber of Commerce is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that exists to promote business and economic growth, advocate on behalf of local business, and participate in enriching the community. While other Chambers of Commerce represent one city or geographic region, the WestShore Chamber is unique as it serves the five different municipalities of Colwood, Highlands, Langford, Metchosin and View Royal.

Understanding and representing the collective views of 380 members, the WestShore Chamber is a catalyst through which proactive business leaders and professionals can act together as one voice to affect dynamic, positive changes in the community.

Each of the five communities we represent has a unique personality, set of priorities and goals, and all contribute to the dynamic fabric of the West Shore. Learn more about our five municipalities!

Vision

To advance the growth, prosperity and sustainability of business and community life on the WestShore.

Goals

  • To act as a resource and advocate for business development on the WestShore
  • To be a catalyst for business/community connections
  • To provide quality, relevant business services to members
  • To foster awareness and encourage progress toward a sustainable WestShore Community

What does the WestShore Chamber really do?

We provide opportunities for businesses to grow and develop through networking, training, insurance and business benefits, business discounts, advocacy, marketing opportunities, special events, and sponsorship opportunities. The WestShore Chamber is also associated with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, which acts as a voice of Canadian business and advocates to change policies affecting business on a broader level.

The WestShore Chamber lobbies on behalf of its membership, educates the community about business issues and exposes the public to our thriving business environment. Our goal is to keep the economic condition in the West Shore thriving. When businesses succeed, a community benefits. Jobs are created, as is a climate to finance the governmental, educational, and charitable needs in that community.

So how does the WestShore Chamber achieve all these things? Through a dedicated volunteer board that guides our strategic direction, through a dynamic staff committed to providing value for our members, through member volunteers who pitch in and help with the programming by providing ideas, the drive, the goals and the funds to help us continue what we are doing. The WestShore Chamber would not exist were it not for its members!
